Segun Odegbami International College and Sports Academy (SOCA) welcomed parents and guardians to its campus on Saturday, October 10, 2026, for a special Visiting Day designed to strengthen the relationship between the school, students, and their families.
The visit provided parents with an opportunity to reconnect with their children, spend valuable time with them on campus, and gain a closer appreciation of their school environment and daily experiences.
Visiting Day is an important part of boarding-school life, offering students an opportunity to share their experiences with their families while enjoying moments of togetherness away from their regular academic and sporting schedules.
For parents and guardians, the occasion also provides an opportunity to appreciate the environment in which their children learn, train, develop friendships, and prepare for the future.
At SOCA, the combination of academics and sports requires a supportive environment in which students can develop intellectually, physically, socially, and emotionally. The involvement of parents and guardians is an important part of this process.
The school recognises that effective communication between parents and educators can help support students’ progress, encourage positive behaviour, and strengthen their commitment to academic and sporting goals.
The October 10 visit therefore represented more than a family reunion; it was an opportunity to reinforce the partnership between the school and the families who entrust their children’s development to the institution.
As SOCA continues to nurture young talents and prepare students for future opportunities, the school values the continued cooperation of parents and guardians in promoting discipline, excellence, and personal growth.
The school appreciates all parents and guardians who visited the campus and contributed to making the day a meaningful experience for the students.
At SOCA, the journey towards excellence is a partnership between the school, the students, and their families.
